VIDEO: On-board the Murcielago R-GT at Spa
Standing in stark contrast to its rivals in Maranello, Lamborghini does not breed its supercars in motorsports. The Raging Bull does sometime wander onto the track, albeit without direct involvement from the factory in Sant' Agata Bolognese. Reiter Engineering is the German specialty firm that preps Lamborghinis for competition and races them, including the monstrous Murcielago R-GT, which, as we reported recently, is set to take on Le Mans next year, following its regular participation in FIA GT and Japanese Super GT events.
As dramatic as the pictures look, all angular, pumping with testosterone and foaming at the mouth, they don't do it justice. We can imagine seeing one in action up close must be a tremendously visceral experience, but this video, recorded in-car and trackside while lapping the Spa-Francorchamps, goes a long way in communicating the Raging Bull's unbridled potency and sheer speed.

Awesome video, but could have done without the awful music. The sound of those 12 cylinders is more than enough for me.

Why, oh WHY do people almost always ruin these videos with cheesy music? I'm straining to hear the incredible engine sounds over this crap!
Also, I feel the sudden need to play Project Gotham Racing 3 right about now, where I use the R-GT almost exclusively.

What a car. The video editor must be slapped & any remnants of Axle Foley removed from his (her) library. Then quickly introduced to Garage Band!

As I recall, there have been Lambos in Le Mans series GTS racing. None of them have been any good. Maybe Lamborghini can pull an Aston-Martin here.

Amen, U se the R-GT all day long againt the f50 drivers, in A class racing. The R-Gt will win on any tight course, the Koenigsegg is my choice for the Nurbergring though. f-50 drivers get all confused when they lose to these cars.

Why do they cut to an inside cockpit shot of the driver just as he is about to navigate the famous Eau Rouge? I don't need to see him shifting, I can hear it under the porno music.
